Dolcetto special

To celebrate the release of the new 2011 Dolcetto Unplugged, we've put together a special half case that includes 3 of each of our recent Dolcetto wines.

We've been developing a new style of Dolcetto- very similar to those made in Italy with full fruit flavours, little oak and released after about 6 months. The 2011 is our first example of this.

However, our previous Dolcetto, which was made in a more tradition NZ style with oak aging for 12 months and firm tannins, has been getting lots of media attention recently. John Hawkesby, in the Oct 12 issue of the NZ Herald's Canvas magazine, wrote about it as being a rare treasure to hunt for. As well, the very first issue of Denizen, a gourmet and style magazine, wrote about it in the context of asking 6 Auckland chefs what they actually drink themselves. And the 2008 Dolcetto was one of these.

So we've decided to acknowledge these very positive comments about our Dolcetto by putting together a special 6 bottle special for $150. This is to give you the opportunity to compare our two styles and welcome you to the fanclub for Dolcetto!
