Sangiovese Dolcetto 2009

This 2009 blend follows the extraordinary 2005 Sangiovese. To signal the quality of the Sangiovese, we put a pewter heron on each bottle.

In 2009, we did something very rarely done anywhere in the world. We blended Dolcetto, from Piedmont, and Sangiovese, from Tuscany, to produce a wine of unmistakeable quality and interest.

We mixed the dark cherries and spice of the Dolcetto with the earthiness of the Sangiovese to create a wine with clear elements of both. Ruby red, firm tannins and great complexity make this definitely a wine worth trying.

Made in limited quantities, this wine will age for years.

As a mark of the quality of this wine, but to distinguish it from the Sangiovese, we have put a copper coloured heron on each bottle. Salut!
