Heron's Flight is a small family owned vineyard overlooking New Zealand's Matakana valley- famous for its fertile soils and boutique wineries.
We are the only New Zealand vineyard specialising in growing the Italian grape varieties Sangiovese and Dolcetto, which we have successfully grown since 1993.

We've have recently re-opened our cellar door in our old place down the drive.
We will be open daily from 11am for casual visitors. There will be no charge for tastings. We figure that if you make it past the restaurant and the 200m down the drive, tastings should be free!

Every Saturday, 9am - 1pm.
Come and see us at the Matakana Village Farmers' Market every Saturday.
Sample our grape juice, vinegar and verjus, and buy them for special market day prices.
Unfortunately we are not permitted to sell any wine at the market- so if you want to taste it come on down to our cellar door where you can taste it for free.
